Technicians who are looking to enhance their skills in ICT and electronics have the opportunity
to benefit from heavily subsidised professional courses. Led by the Science and Technology Facilities
Council, The Advanced Instrumentation Regional Resource Centre is offering ICT and Electronics Courses
which are heavily subsidised. The courses offered are as follows:
An Introduction to Linux and UNIX
Introducing Java Programming
Electronic measuring and Testing
The courses will be delivered between September 2007 and March 2008 at Aylesbury Training Group in association with The Centre of Vocational Excellence in Engineering. By agreement, courses may be run in company. Each course is three full days which can be taken consecutively or individually between September 2007 and March 2008.
Candidates must be employed, working towards or have achieved an NVQ level three or equivalent qualification. All successful candidates will be awarded an Advanced Instrumentation Regional resource Centre certificate endorsed by members of the RRC.
The courses are strictly limited and available on a first come first serve basis. The cost is only £32.70 per day plus VAT for companies with up to 249 employees and £65.40 per day plus VAT for business with 250 or more.
