STFC
Formed in 1995, the Council for the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) operates world-class large-scale research facilities, provides strategic advice to the government on their development and manages international research projects in support of a broad cross-section of the UK research community. The STFC owns and operates the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Oxfordshire, the Daresbury Laboratory in Cheshire and the Chilbolton Observatory in Hampshire. These world-class institutions support the research community by providing access to advanced facilities and an extensive scientific and technical expertise.
Pera
Pera is a leading European innovation support organisation, at the heart of facilitating the strategic change needed for industry to compete in a globalised economy. They develop new products and manufacturing technologies as well as working with national or regional government bodies to develop and manage programmes that stimulate the innovation process across a range of organisations and industry. Pera maintains specialist groups that include a world class Business Intelligence centre, productivity and manufacturing specialists, regional programme management expertises and research facilities for emerging technologies. They also operate a training business, providing both a technical consultancy, advice and accreditation service along with assisting companies develop their business strategy and improvement, people development and team building skills.
The Precise Group Ltd
The Precise Group Ltd (PGL) – the knowledge transfer wing of the Precise Group, provides introductions to networks, knowledge transfer best practice advice – for SMEs and larger organisations – bid and proposal writing and the Precise Location service working with UK Trade & Investment to provide speedy, practical advice to overseas companies wishing to locate a business in the UK. Together with its sister company, On-Machine Measurement Ltd, PGL has a focus on measurement best practice and technology, providing direct assistance to companies through agencies such as DTI’s Manufacturing Advisory Service. PGL also supplies measurement best practice training through the National Physical Laboratory and has developed an online tool for improving measurement issues in manufacturing supply chains.

The Regional Resource Centre for Biotech and Healthcare is based at Kent Science Park to enable close links with industry (SME's to Multinationals). The centre forms part of the SEEDA network of sector based resource centres.
